Melanie C. Pereira (PhD)
Dr Melanie C. Pereira co-founded the IMBiosciences Research Institute (IMBRI) and oversees the research activities of the organization as the Research Director.
She holds a PhD in Biochemistry and has postdoctoral training in Nanoscience, as well as Cell Biology from Nelson Mandela University (South Africa). Her core area of expertise lies in drug combination studies involving novel or plant-based compounds to treat various cancers, and her research is centered on discovering novel and improved approaches to cancer therapy. She is also a published author with several articles published in international peer-reviewed journals.
