ANTI-CANCER PHYTOCHEMICAL-BASED STUDIES

Updated: 12 January 2024

The global affliction of cancer is concerning as it is one of the leading causes of increased mortality rates world-wide. Most currently available anti-cancer drugs are associated with many challenges, such as drug resistance or clinical relapse. Consequently, these challenges have motivated extensive investigations of alternative treatments displaying improved anti-cancer and pharmacokinetic properties.

Phytochemicals (biologically active plant derived compounds) have established their anti-cancer effects in several cancer cell lines and animal models; and have also demonstrated their potential as chemo-preventative compounds.

Below is a list of resources relating to anti-cancer studies involving phytochemicals. Please note, the information on this website is provided for general information only.
